We started buying whole lambs shortly after learning about Tangle Ridge Ranch. Lamb is by far the most expensive meat we buy, but as you can read here, purchasing whole animals from local producers can still be cheaper than grocery stores. Tangle Ridge lambs are pastured their entire lives, foraging for their food, and yield tender, flavourful meat.
Lamb is a joy to have in the kitchen. It makes the most elegant cuts of meat, hands down. There’s nothing like being served a rack of lamb with its set of long, pearly rib bones arching gracefully from the meat, or a whole lamb leg, roasted and carved at the table.
